Issue that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
| When you try to insert a Microsoft Visual Basic version 6.0 Masked Edit control in an Office 2003 file, the control does not appear. Instead, you receive the following error message in the location in which you tried to insert the control: Error! Not a valid embedded object. This problem may occur on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). |
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
