| When you host a game, new players who join the game are disconnected when they select a character. |
| When you join a game, you are disconnected after you select a character. |
This problem may occur if your character is from a saved game that has become corrupted.

| 2. | Locate and then open one of the following folders: My Documents\Dungeon Siege\Save My Documents\Dungeon Siege LOA\Save |
| 3. | Delete the *.dsparty files. |
| 4. | Start Dungeon Siege, and then join a multiplayer game. |
| 5. | Use the most recently saved game to pull in the character, progressively going back until the character can be brought into the game without receiving the error message or getting disconnected. Make a note of the file name. |
| 6. | After the game is over, delete the saved games that the character could not be used from.
