When you try to send a Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 page as an e-mail message, you experience one of the following symptoms:
| A separate e-mail message window opens that contains the OneNote 2007 file as an attachment. |
| Nothing happens. No e-mail message can be sent. |
Note When you point to
Send Page To on the
File menu and then click
Mail Recipient, the e-mail message envelope appears at the top of the OneNote 2007 page.
This behavior may occur if one of the following conditions is true:
| You do not have Microsoft Outlook 2007 installed. |
| A MAPI-compatible e-mail program such as Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook Express is not responding to the MAPI call from OneNote 2007. Alternatively, the e-mail program is not installed. |
| Outlook 2007 is not the default e-mail client. |
To resolve this behavior, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Install Outlook 2007
To receive the e-mail message envelope at the top of the OneNote 2007 page, you must install Outlook 2007.
Method 2: Install a MAPI-compatible e-mail program
To open a separate e-mail message window when you send a OneNote 2007 page, install Outlook 2003, Outlook Express, or another MAPI-compatible e-mail program.
Note Outlook Express is installed as part of Microsoft Internet Explorer. For more information about Internet Explorer, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
Method 3: Set Outlook 2007 as the default e-mail client
If Outlook Express is configured as the default e-mail client, the e-mail features in OneNote are unavailable. To resolve this issue, set Outlook 2007 as the default e-mail client. To do this, follow these steps:
| 1. | Start Internet Explorer. |
| 2. | On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. |
| 3. | Click the Programs tab. |
| 4. | Set Outlook 2007 as the default e-mail client. |
