List of issues fixed
This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
In an Office 2003 program, you try to find a synonym for the word "contraddistingue" in Italian language text. When you do this, the program closes unexpectedly. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:

Buffer Overrun Detected!
Program: ...am Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\winword.exe
A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated.
This problem may also occur when you try to find a synonym for any form of the verb "contraddistinguere."
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Office 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
