Issues that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
Every time that you try to start Outlook 2007, it crashes. This issue occurs if the junk e-mail rule is set to NULL.

| In an Item.Close() event, if the currently closed item is discarded by making a call to the Item.Close olDiscard method, you receive the following error message: The Item’s properties and methods cannot be used inside this event procedure. |
You experience performance issues in Outlook 2007 when you work with large .pst files or with large .ost files.

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article.
