Describes a behavior that occurs after you associate an image file type with Picture Manager 2003, Picture Manager does not start as expected when you double-click the file.

After you associate an image file type with Microsoft Office Picture Manager 2003, Picture Manager does not start when you double-click the file.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because some third-party programs do not use the registry correctly.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, you must "de-associate" the file from any program that it was previously associated with, and then associate it with Picture Manager. To do this, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, click My Computer, click the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the File Types tab.
2.In the Registered file types list, click the file type that you want to open with a different program, and then click Change.
3.In the Open With dialog box, click Microsoft Office Picture Manager 2003, and then click OK.
4. In the Folder Options dialog box, click OK.
