When you use your Windows Live ID to sign in to your Zune account at the Zune.net Web site or the Zune Marketplace, you receive a message that states that your Windows Live ID is invalid, incorrect, or does not exist.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you use an EASI (e-mail as sign in) account with which to sign in and one of the following situations occurred:
You did not confirm the Windows Live ID after you created the account.
You did not sign in your Windows Live ID within the first 10 days after you created the account.
You have not signed in to your Windows Live ID within the last 365 days.
Note If you do not sign in to your Windows Live ID for more than 365 days, your account is automatically deleted.

THINGS TO TRY

1.Resolve the issue that has affected your EASI account. For specific instructions, see the "More Information" section.

MORE INFORMATION

An EASI Windows Live ID is a Windows Live ID that is created by using an e-mail address from a domain other than Windows Live or MSN. For example, you can create a Windows Live ID by using an e-mail address from one of the following domains:
yahoo.com
gmail.com

Confirm an EASI Windows Live ID

When you create a Windows Live ID from an EASI account, you must confirm that you own the EASI account. After you create a Windows Live ID, you receive a Windows Live verification e-mail message at the e-mail address that you used to create the EASI Windows Live ID.

To confirm your EASI Windows Live ID, follow these steps:
1. After you create your EASI Windows Live ID, look for an e-mail message that has the following subject line:
Confirm your e-mail address for Windows Live
2.Open the e-mail message, and then read the instructions.
3.Click the link that appears in the e-mail message to visit the verification page.
4.Click Finish.
Note To avoid problems using a Windows Live service, confirm your EASI Windows Live ID before you sign in to any Windows Live service. If the confirmation e-mail message does not appear in the Inbox, look in your Junk Mail folder. Sometimes, mail is delivered to the Junk Mail folder instead of the Inbox.

Request that the verification e-mail be resent

To request a new copy of the verification e-mail, follow these steps:
1.Visit the following Web site, and then sign in to your EASI account:
http://account.live.com (http://account.live.com)
2.Click Verify your e-mail address.
3.Click Send me verification e-mail.
4.When you receive the verification e-mail, follow the instructions that it contains.

Receive more help

Contact Windows Live Support if one or more of the following conditions are true:
You cannot confirm your account.
You did not sign in your Windows Live ID within the first 10 days after you created the account.
You have not signed in to your Windows Live ID within the last 365 days and your account was deleted.
