Describes a problem that occurs because the start date or the end date is ignored when Microsoft Dynamics CRM calculates the value in the During in Days field.


When you open a service contract in the Contract dialog box in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the value in the During in Days field is incorrect.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the start date or the end date is ignored when Microsoft Dynamics CRM calculates the value in the During in Days field.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Steps to reproduce the problem

1.Log on to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Web client.
2.Click Service, click Contracts, and then click New.
3.In the Contract Template dialog box, click OK.
4.In the Contracts: New dialog box, type 11/16/2006 in the Contract Start Date field, and then type 11/30/2006 in the Contract End Date field.
5.Complete the other fields.
6.Click Save and Close.
7.In the Contracts dialog box, double-click the contract that you created. The value in the During in Days field is 14 instead of 15.
