When you try to install Document Management on a computer that is running Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003, you may receive the following error message:
One of the following IIS configuration conditions for W3SVC/1 (the Default Web site) has not been met:
- the TCP Port for the Web site is not 80
- the IP Address setting is not (All Unassigned)


Please adjust your IIS configuration and run setup again, or validate that your settings will not inhibit SharePoint Portal Server "v2.0" Beta 2 operation and continue. Details can be found in the release notes.
If you continue with the steps in the Document Library Setup Wizard, the wizard continues with the installation, and then you receive the following error message:
A fatal setup error has occurred. For details see <C:\Program Files\Microsoft Integration\SharePoint Portal Server v2.0 Beta2 DM Components\Logs\errorlog.txt>.
When you click Next, you receive the following error message:
Completing the Document Library Setup Wizard.

The SharePoint Portal Server v2.0 Beta2 DM Components Wizard did not complete successfully because one or more components reported an error.

To close the wizard, click Finish.
When you open the log file (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Integration\SharePoint Portal Server v2.0 Beta2 DM Components\Logs\errorlog.txt), information similar to the following is listed:

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you try to install Document Management after the default Web site has been deleted by using Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) manager.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
